The combination of Grunge Art style with the vintage checkered prints and black fabrics gives the design a new vision. The pattern combines street style and formal workwear to create a conflicting but innovating punk culture. Patching and asymmetrical stitching techniques are used to achieve the bold and irregular effects unique to grunge. Grunge Art is also an art style which is born from Punk. Through this technique, it pays tribute to the Punk style and it also retains the delicate rebellious which can be found in Grunge Art.
To make the tailoring of the splicing part increase the sense of space and three-dimensionality, we made it with double-layered fabric, not with pure colored fabric, but two well-made patches. Layers of fabrics are stacked, and edges are finished with raw edge technique. The proportion of black and plaid is distinguishably distributed is distinguished through accurate calculations, with a large proportion of black on the front, the vintage aesthetic plaid print on the back will catch people’s eyes. The front and back blacks are visually distributed in large numbers, and only a small amount of plaid prints are printed on the waist and arms. The pattern makes you look thinner and modifies your figure visually, with the movement of the body, the outer black raw-edged fabric flutters, which gives a perfect sense of movement. Two suit pockets on the front hem span across, the fabric in the deconstructed pocket are exposed between the black cloth block and the checkered print on the inner layer of the shirt hem. In addition to enhancing the texture and level of details, it also provides a visual balance for the two different colored fabrics.
